TEHRAN, May 03 (Y{PA) – Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, held a phone call on Sunday evening with his Spanish counterpart José Manuel Albares to discuss the latest regional and international developments, along with bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a statement shared on his Telegram channel, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s “responsible approach” toward maintaining regional stability and sustainable security.
He also outlined Tehran’s diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at ending what he described as a war imposed by the United States and Israel.
According to the account, tensions escalated on February 28, when the United States and Israeli entity launched a military campaign against Iran that lasted 40 days, resulting in significant civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and places of worship.
In response, Iran announced the launch of Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting Israeli positions and U.S. bases across the region.
