Woman killed by lightning strike in Raymah Province

RAYMAH, May 01 (YPA) – A woman was killed after being struck by lightning during heavy rain accompanied by thunder in Al-Jafriyah district in Yemen’s Raymah governorate, local sources reported.

According to the sources,  the incident occurred in Bani Al-Waqidi areaon Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning continues to issue daily warnings during the rainy season.

It urges people to be cautious during thunderstorms and to avoid open areas, as well as staying away from electrical poles and tall trees to reduce the risk of lightning strikes.
