WAHINGTON, March 27 (YPA) – The recent Iranian attacks have disabled most of the 13 U.S. military bases in West Asia, rendering them largely inoperable.
According to the New York Times’s report, the U.S. bases in Kuwait—due to their proximity to Iran—sustained heavy damage. An attack targeting the port of Shuaibiya Port killed six U.S. soldiers and destroyed the Army Tactical Operations Center.
The report added that Iranian drones and missiles damaged aircraft hangars at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, along with fuel and maintenance facilities at Camp Buehring.
In Qatar, the early warning radar system at Al Udeid Air Base was reportedly destroyed, while in Bahrain, the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet was targeted.
Meanwhile, Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia sustained damage to communications equipment and several refueling aircraft, reflecting the scale of the strikes and their significant impact on U.S. military infrastructure in the region.
