Meteorology expects scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of several governorates

SANAA, March. 24 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts scattered rainfall in parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the weather bulletin, scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale’a, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.

Scattered rainfall is also expected in parts of the governorates of Sana’a, Al Mahweet, Raymah, Dhamar, and Al Bayda, extending to the plateaus and deserts of the governorates of Al Jawf, Ma’rib, Hadramout, Al Mahrah, and parts of the eastern and southern coasts and adjacent areas.

In addition, the center warned citizens of the risk of flash floods in ravines and valleys and advised against being in or crossing them during and after rainfall.

It also warned drivers of reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to low cloud cover or fog and advised against crossing overpasses during flash floods.
