Sayyed Al-Houthi cautions Turkey, Pakistan against involvement in Yemeni-Saudi conflict
SANAA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansarallah movement, delivered address on Monday directed at Turkey and Pakistan regarding developments in the military escalation between Sanaa and Riyadh.
In a televised speech marking the anniversary of the September 21 revolution, al-Houthi cautioned Turkey and Pakistan against involvement alongside Saudi Arabia in its military campaign against Yemen for political or financial gains.
He stated that Yemen maintains a legitimate right to resist the Saudi-led military campaign and blockade, reaffirming adherence to its national position.
“We seek fairness and do not impose impossible conditions; we demand an end to the aggression and the siege, as our demands represent legitimate rights for our people,” al-Houthi said.
He added that Riyadh is currently attempting to involve Turkish and Pakistani forces, alongside fighters from Syria during a period of heightened Israeli military action against Syrian territory.
Al-Houthi called on regional governments to support the Palestinian cause rather than aligning with Saudi Arabia, which he described as partnering with the U.S., the U.K., and “Israel”.
He stressed that the Yemeni people maintain their rights to sovereignty, independence, economic self-determination, and the lifting of all restrictions on movement and trade, emphasizing continued support for the Palestinian issue despite ongoing challenges.
