Sanaa Foreign Ministry condemns Arab, Islamic silence over Israeli targeting of Al-Aqsa, Quds

SANAA, Sept. 2 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry in Sanaa on Monday condemned Arab and Islamic silence regarding the Israeli targeting of Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Quds (Jerusalem).

In an official statement, the ministry said the storming of tunnels and excavations under Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Buraq Wall by Israeli occupation’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Zionist settlers constitutes a crime requiring practical steps from Arab and Islamic governments.

The statement called on those claiming to defend holy sites to take actionable stances against Israeli measures targeting Al-Aqsa and Quds.

“Where is the zeal of certain rulers and establishment scholars regarding this heinous crime and the impending danger to Al-Aqsa Mosque and Holy Quds?” the ministry questioned, noting that vocal hostility often emerges against regional nations, while responses to Israeli occupation actions against holy sites remain muted.

The ministry added that anyone expecting the Israeli enemy to adhere to treaties or agreements is deceived, referring to Quranic texts regarding their nature.

Reaffirming its position, the ministry stated that the Republic of Yemen remains fully prepared to coordinate and cooperate with all members of the Islamic nation to confront the Israeli threat and support the Palestinian cause.
