MARIB, March 16 (YPA) – Pro-Saudi recruits on Sunday called for protests on Monday in front of the central bank headquarters in the cities of Marib and Taiz, denouncing the continued suspension of their salaries and financial entitlements.
Recruits affiliated with the Islah Party confirmed in reports and widely shared social media posts that the demonstrations were an inevitable response to their demands for legitimate financial rights, particularly the payment of overdue salaries and unpaid bonuses from 2025.
They highlighted that delays in receiving their dues had left thousands of families facing what they described as “extremely harsh” humanitarian and living conditions.
The recruits noted that the financial strain has become unbearable, especially with Eid al-Fitr approaching, as thousands of families were struggling to afford basic necessities.
Organizers sent a stern message to the Saudi authorities, warning that continued neglect of their demands could prompt “more escalatory measures” unless all salaries and pending bonuses were paid immediately.
The statement concluded with a firm declaration: “Either a dignified life that guarantees the rights of recruits and their families, or an open and comprehensive escalation until justice is achieved and all rights are fully restored.”
