Washington hosts intensive “Saudi-Israeli” consultations amid U.S. military buildup targeting Iran

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 (YPA) – A report by the American website ‘Axios’ revealed on Thursday a high-level diplomatic and intelligence mobilization in Washington.

The U.S. administration is currently hosting Saudi and Israeli officials for pivotal talks regarding Iran, coinciding with a significant reinforcement of U.S. military presence in the region.

The head of Israeli Military Intelligence, Shlomi Binder, has provided specific intelligence requested by the Trump administration concerning “potential targets” for strikes inside Iran.

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman is focusing his meetings with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other officials on activating diplomatic channels to avert a full-scale regional war.

Riyadh has reaffirmed its position of not allowing the use of its airspace for any military attack, citing concerns over potential Iranian retaliation.

This diplomatic activity coincides with the arrival of the carrier ‘USS Abraham Lincoln’ to the region, part of a naval fleet described as the largest of its kind, amid U.S. directives to “prepare” for a looming decision regarding military action.
