German Parliament approves $6.7 billion arms deal with Israel

BERLIN, Dec. 18 (YPA) – The German parliament approved expanding the Arrow 3 air defense system deal with the Zionist entity, adding approximately $3.1 billion to the contract value, bringing the total value of the deal to more than $6.7 billion, making it the largest arms export operation carried out by the occupation to date.

The occupation’s Ministry of Defense explained that the new expansion of the agreement is a supplement to the original contract signed two years ago for $3.6 billion, noting that the production and delivery of Arrow 3 missiles and launchers to the German army will be significantly accelerated.

The ministry stated that the total value of the two contracts exceeds 20 billion shekels, and that this deal strengthens the occupation’s position in the global defense industry.

The expanded agreement is scheduled to be signed in Germany in the presence of officials from the Defense Ministries of both sides and representatives of IAI.

The expansion of “Arrow 3” deal comes as part of Germany’s new defense spending package of approximately $59 billion, recently approved by the German parliament. This package aims to strengthen Germany’s deterrence and defense capabilities, as confirmed by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
