‘Hadramout Tribal Alliance’ accuses pro-UAE factions of kidnapping wounded from Mukalla hospitals

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The “Hadramout Tribal Alliance” (aligned with Saudi Arabia) issued a statement on Friday, revealing the kidnapping of several wounded individuals belonging to “Hadramout Protection” forces by factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) from inside Mukalla city hospitals.

The statement clarified that the UAE-aligned factions stormed the hospitals last Tuesday and took the wounded, including “Walid Omar Barashid and Abdullah Awadh Barashid,” to an unknown location at gunpoint.

The alliance considered these actions a clear violation of International Humanitarian Law and tribal customs, holding the commander of the “Second Military Region” and the Director of Hadramout Coastal Police fully responsible for the safety of the wounded.

In the statement, the alliance urged international human rights organizations and the United Nations to urgently intervene for the release of the kidnapped wounded and to hold those involved accountable.

The alliance vowed to take all necessary measures to restore the rights of the people of Hadramout and will not tolerate any aggression targeting them under any circumstances.
