Hind Rajab Foundation files war crimes complaint against Israeli reservist in UK

LONDON, Oct. 29 (YPA) – The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a criminal complaint in the United Kingdom against an Israeli reserve soldier visiting the country, accusing her of committing war crimes during Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip.

The foundation, based in Brussels and named after Palestinian child Hind Rajab, who was killed along with members of her family by the Israeli occupation army in Gaza City in January 2024, said the complaint targets reserve soldier Lidor Dafna, who served in the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion.

According to the foundation, Dafna participated in the demolition of a flour production facility and wheat silos in southern Gaza in May 2025, at a time when Israel’s blockade was worsening the famine.

The foundation based its allegations on a video the soldier herself posted on social media, showing her operating a military bulldozer to demolish the facility.

Natasha Brack, the foundation’s head of litigation, said the legal action was urgently necessary, warning that allowing the soldier to leave Britain could enable her to return and commit further crimes.

Brack added that allowing a suspect to leave the country through its airports despite documented evidence against them would, in her view, constitute a violation of states’ obligations to prevent and punish genocide.
