Saudi Arabia slams UAE-backed militias “STC and Tariq Saleh”

RIYADH, Dec. 11 (YPA) -Saudi Arabia launched a fierce verbal attack on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia and on Tariq Saleh, commander of Abu Dhabi’s factions on the Yemen’s western coast, stressing that their movements toward Hadhramaut aim to seize its oil and gas resources.

Saudi activist Ali Al‑Arishi wrote on X: “The Southern Transitional Council and its affiliates in Mocha promote the idea that their rebellion within Yemen’s legitimacy is aimed at fighting the “Houthis”. This is a foolish lie. It only fools the naive and the simple-minded.”

He added: “Field movements prove that the immediate goal of this rebellion is to take control of Yemen’s oil and gas wealth (PetroMasila) in Hadramout — and that has already happened.”

He continued: “The ultimate goal is to separate the south from the north and to undermine Yemen’s legitimacy, for which Saudi Arabia has sacrificed money and men to restore.”

“What is striking is that those promoting the separatist narrative are the so‑called ‘Guardians of the Republic,’ led by Nabil Al‑Soufi.”

He concluded his attack on the STC and Tariq Saleh by saying: “These same people will come to you tomorrow, or after a month, or a year, or even a hundred years, and say that Saudi Arabia was the one that divided Yemen.”
