OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The Israeli news site i24NEWS reported that Morocco will resume flights to Israel starting Thursday, after more than two years of suspension since the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023.
The Israeli site stated in a post that Morocco will allow Israelis to enter its territory for the first time since October 7.
According to the site, this decision came after talks between Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev and Moroccan Transport Minister Abdel Samad Qayouh, and based on an official statement issued by the civil aviation authorities in both countries.
The resumption of these flights comes after discussions held in recent months regarding the possibility of restarting the direct air route between Morocco and Israel, in parallel with renewed coordination between the relevant transport and security authorities.
Previously, the Israeli liaison office in Morocco recently resumed operations after the appointment of Hassan Kaibeh as deputy to the former head of the office, David Kovrin, amidst Israeli instructions prohibiting speaking to Moroccan media.
