Israeli occupation pressures Germany to lift arms export restrictions
OCCUPIED QUDS, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation entity is intensifying its efforts to pressure the German government to lift the restrictions imposed on arms exports to it, arguing that the continuation of the ban impedes its ability to defend itself.
The Israeli Ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, said in an interview with the German Press Agency (dpa) that the “ceasefire presents a good reason to reconsider the restrictions on arms exports, because ‘Israel’ needs the necessary means to defend itself.”
Prosor stressed that the current battle is not just a regional conflict, but a “battle for democratic nations and freedom in the face of jihadist groups seeking to spread terrorism and violence.”
