Meteorology warns of cold weather, Yemeni astronomer reveals date of frosty nights

SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning had earlier warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, and those working during the evening and morning hours in the governorates and mountainous highlands, of the cold weather.

It advised farmers in mountainous areas to take the necessary measures to protect their crops, and those coming to cold areas to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves from the cold.

Meanwhile, Yemeni astronomer Adnan Al-Shawafi predicted a significant drop in the minimum temperature during the next three nights until Sunday night.

In a statement, Al-Shawafi explained on Thursday, that this drop may make the weather cold to very cold in the highlands and mountain basins.

He warned farmers of the possibility of frost in parts of the highlands and mountain basins, especially if the sky is clear and the winds are calm in those areas.

Astronomer Al-Shawafi classified this situation as level one, “mild,” calling on everyone to follow weather forecasts.
