Larijani: Iran’s missile capabilities are not the West’s concern

TEHRAN, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, asserted that Iran’s missile capabilities are not the West’s concern, and therefore it has no right to comment on them. He emphasized that Tehran will not succumb to false claims.

At the conclusion of the seminar “We and the West in the Thought of Imam Khamenei,” Larijani stated, “The West seeks to dominate the Iranian people and wants to negotiate with the aim of subjugating us.”

He pointed out that the nuclear issue was a pretext for the West to wage war against the Iranian people, stressing that the Iranian people’s capabilities and the resilience of the armed forces forced the enemy to retreat and act rationally.

He noted that Tehran’s policies have never been hostile to the West; rather, it is the West’s behavior in the political and security spheres that has caused the crisis in cooperation.

He observed that independence is not easy in modern world politics, noting that the current US President, Donald Trump, boasts of peace by threatening others and is the primary enemy of nations’ independence.

He said that Trump insists on replacing international law with force, which creates chaos, emphasizing that “Washington created ISIS to sow chaos, but the damage has backfired. And today, it is returning to ally with it again.”

Larijani had previously affirmed that “the enemies’ goal is very clear: to subjugate the Iranian people and break their will.”

He emphasized that Iran would confront these pressures with national resistance that preserves its sovereignty and dignity, noting that Iran does not refuse to negotiate and has never left the negotiating table.
