“Yemenia” imposes new restrictions on travelers to Saudi Arabia

ADEN, Nov. 09 (YPA) – Yemen Airways (Yemenia) has imposed new restrictions and procedures against Yemeni travelers flying to Saudi Arabia.

In a circular issued by the company, Yemenia announced the application of new procedures concerning travel movement toward the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stating that these updates aim to regulate booking operations and avoid confusion at departure ports.

According to the circular, the decision is effective starting from Saturday, November 8, 2025, and stipulates the prohibition of issuing one-way tickets for first-time work visa holders. Booking a round-trip ticket will become a mandatory requirement to complete travel procedures.

Yemenia clarified that these restrictions do not include Umrah visa holders, who can still book one-way tickets without any changes or additional conditions, in line with their specific arrangements.

The company also called on all travelers to adhere to these updated controls to ensure the smooth flow of travel procedures and avoid any confusion upon departure.
