Saudi, US forces begin joint military exercise in Mojave desert

RIYADH, Nov. 06 (YPA) – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the launch of a joint military exercise between the Saudi Land Forces and their American counterparts, codenamed “Quincy-1,” at Fort Irwin Base in the United States.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that the exercise, which began yesterday (Wednesday), aims to enhance operational readiness, exchange expertise, and achieve integration in executing joint operations within diverse combat environments.

Fort Irwin is considered one of the largest US military bases, allowing participating forces to train in harsh conditions that simulate real battlefields.

This joint military cooperation comes at a time when observers note that the maneuvers conducted by Arab nations with the US military acquire a sensitive status, particularly in light of regional tensions and the ongoing controversy surrounding US support for the Israeli occupation.
