Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon, resistance refuses to negotiate over its weapons

BEIRUT, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Southern Lebanon witnessed a dangerous escalation on Thursday, as the Israeli occupation army intensified its air raids targeting several villages, including Al-Taybeh, Ayta al-Jabal, and Tyre Debba, resulting in the killing of one Lebanese citizen and the injuring of several civilians.

This escalation followed public threats issued by the occupation, urging residents of southern villages to immediately evacuate, under the pretext of targeting “Hezbollah infrastructure” in the area.

In response, the Lebanese Resistance affirmed its categorical rejection of any local or international attempts to disarm it. In an open letter addressed to the Lebanese presidencies and the people, it stressed that its weapon is the “guarantee for protecting the nation” against repeated aggressions and the occupation’s threats.

The resistance considered the proposal of disarmament to be a “national sin,” asserting that its weapon is not a subject for compromise or negotiation. Instead, it should only be discussed within a comprehensive national defense strategy. It urged focus on the full implementation of the ceasefire and pressuring “Israel” to respect its obligations.
