CARACAS, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has approved a comprehensive defense plan and a transition to armed struggle in case of aggression from the United States.
This comes on November 5 at an extraordinary congress of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (UESP) and the youth wing of the party.
“As part of the strategic concept of the integrated defense of the homeland, a plan has been adopted to move from an unarmed struggle to an armed struggle on a national and continental scale in case Venezuela is attacked by the US empire,” Maduro said on the Venezolana de Television channel.
The President noted that this is necessary to protect the territorial integrity, dignity and future of Venezuela.
Maduro called for strengthening the country’s defense capabilities, “to make Venezuela resilient,” noting that “threats and psychological warfare from the American empire have continued for twelve weeks.”
