Al-Farah: Saudi strategy to rally international, Muslim support for Yemen war has failed
SANAA, Sept. 27 (YPA) – A senior Sanaa official, said the Saudi regime’s strategy has failed to rally the international community and Muslims to support its criminal policies in Yemen.
“Since the beginning of the war, the Saudi strategy has relied on stoking fears among Muslims over holy sites and alarming the international community about maritime navigation and commercial supply routes, all aimed at internationalizing the aggression and rallying support for its policies, Mohammed Al-Farah, a member of the Ansarullah Political Bureau, wrote on X.
He added that, after allegations concerning threats to target Mecca were refuted, Sanaa made it clear to the international community that its attacks target the Saudi enemy, which is imposing a blockade and waging aggression against Yemen, rather than international shipping. Riyadh is now talking about the dangers posed by Yemen’s air defenses in a new attempt to raise fears over air navigation and create pretexts for intervention.
“This strategy, built on falsehoods and the distortion of facts, will fail to achieve its goals,” Al-Farah said. He asserted that world leaders are “not employees of Mohammed bin Salman” and their armies are “not a police force under his command,” adding that the international community now recognizes Yemen’s legitimate right to self-defense, to end the aggression and lift the blockade.
The official reaffirmed that Sanaa’s actions are based on Islamic principles and international law, emphasizing that forces will not target anyone who refrains from attacking Yemen.
Al-Farah urged the Saudi leadership, if it stands by its assertions, to confront Yemen directly rather than relying on international coalitions, proxy forces and media campaigns.
He concluded by saying that the Saudi media campaign was an attempt to internationalize the conflict and secure international and Islamic cover for the military campaign and blockade, emphasizing that Yemen’s position remains clear: it seeks an end to the aggression and blockade and the right to defend its sovereignty, freedom and independence.
