Sanaa releases national report exposing “US-Israeli-western aggression” and high civilian casualties
National Commission for Human Rights: Aggression coalition carried out 2,801 raids, resulting in 1,669 civilian casualties
SANAA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – Sanaa launched on Saturday a comprehensive national report detailing the “US-Israeli-Western aggression” against Yemen, covering the period from January 2024 to September 2025.
The aggression came as a result of Yemen’s supportive stance toward the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
“Staggering Human Losses”
During a press conference organized by the National Commission for Human Rights, the report revealed a shocking toll from the aggression, documenting 2,801 raids on Yemen, which resulted in 1,669 civilian casualties (killed and injured).
- 441 martyrs (including 38 children and 23 women).
- 1,228 injured (including 197 children and 96 women).
“Shifting Power Dynamics”
The head of the Commission, Ali Tayseer, asserted that Yemen, through its resilience and support for Palestine, has managed to “change the balance of power and the concepts of military academies.” He explained that the report aims to inform global public opinion about the realities of the aggression, which have been obscured by a massive media machine.
“War Crimes and Call for International Probe”
Tayseer emphasized that the aggression coalition committed “full-fledged war crimes,” targeting everything related to human life in Yemen, with even cemeteries not spared. He announced the preparation of a lawsuit regarding the aggression’s crimes to be filed first in the Yemeni judiciary and then in the International Court as soon as possible.
Ali Jassar, Director of the Rights and Freedoms Office, outlined the report’s main recommendations, which include:
- Forming an independent international investigation committee under the supervision of the Human Rights Council or the Security Council.
- Referring perpetrators of the crimes to the International Criminal Court according to the Rome Statute.
- Demanding the lifting of the economic blockade on the Yemeni people, considering it a form of internationally prohibited “collective punishment.”
“Failure of Alliances”
The Commission head stressed that the numerous alliances established by the US and its allies to stop Yemen’s support for Gaza “have all failed” in the face of the great Yemeni people’s determination.
