PARIS, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The French website Intelligence Online revealed unprecedented military cooperation between Israel and Taiwan, including the development of a missile defense system called “T-Dome,” based on the Israeli-made “Iron Dome.”
This cooperation comes amid Taiwan’s concerns about rising Chinese military threats, while China monitors relations between the two countries with great concern.
In September 2025, Taiwanese Vice Defense Minister Fu Horn-Huai secretly visited Tel Aviv to discuss details of the T-Dome project and the transfer of advanced military technology, including radar and missile systems similar to those used in the Iron Dome and Arrow 2 systems.
The visit was conducted away from the media spotlight to avoid provoking China, which considers Taiwan part of its territory.
In addition to military cooperation, the report revealed an informal partnership between Israel and Taiwan since 2019 in the fields of information security and artificial intelligence, driven by shared concerns about technological isolation and the Chinese threat.
