Pro-Palestine organizations call to impose European ban on Israeli national football team, its players

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – A coalition of advocacy organizations and fan groups has called on European football federations to boycott the Israeli national football team and its players, months before the start of the World Cup.

A billboard was erected in New York City, which is scheduled to host eight matches in next year’s World Cup, including the final. Canada and Mexico are co-hosting this global competition, which is held every four years, with the United States.

The campaign calls on the football federations of Belgium, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, and Spain to boycott the Israeli national team and prevent Israeli players from participating in local competitions, in protest against the ongoing war of extermination in the Gaza Strip.
