HADRAMOUT, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Several cities in Hadramout province’s valley and desert marked the Prophet’s Birthday on Thursday with deep faith and deeply rooted traditions through a series of religious events and celebrations.
The historic Omar al-Mahdar Mosque in the city of Tarim hosted a massive celebration attended by locals, preachers, scholars, dignitaries, and students of Islamic knowledge. The event included readings from the Prophet’s biography and religious hymns.
Meanwhile, the celebrations extended to the city of Sayoun, where the Ribbat al-Ilm al-Sharif held a similar event. Other celebrations were also held at Ribbat al-Nour and Baharoun Mosque in the coastal city of Al-Hami, in the Al-Shihr district. Attendees’ voices were raised in prayer for the Prophet and in remembrance of his life in these annual gatherings, which reinforce noble Islamic values.
These events are an extension of long-standing traditions within the fabric of Hadrami society, expressing its authenticity and profound joy at the birth of the Noble Prophet, Mohammed (peace be upon him). They also underscore the urgent need for the Islamic nation to unite and confront its enemies, who have become arrogant against it and its people.
