Hamas urges Palestinian embassies, factions abroad to step up efforts to halt Gaza war

GAZA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem on Thursday called on Palestinian embassies and faction leaders in capitals around the world to step up efforts to pressure relevant parties to halt the ongoing war on Gaza and support the Palestinian people.

In a press statement, Qassem said the escalating campaign against children and women in Gaza required broad and effective mobilization by Palestinians abroad, commensurate with their numbers and potential influence if their efforts were coordinated.

He criticized the limited level of mobilization abroad, given the large number of Palestinians and Palestinian factions present in many capitals, as well as the wide network of Palestinian embassies.

Qassem stressed the need for serious, practical action to exert pressure to end the war on Gaza and strengthen efforts to support Palestinians in the territory.
