BEIRUT, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Sunday morning.
According to Lebanese sources, Israeli aircraft carried out “fire belts” (intense aerial bombardments) targeting the Ali Al-Taher heights in Upper Nabatieh in the south of the country.
The strikes also targeted the town of Kfar Rumman in the same area, according to local reports.
Heavy columns of smoke were seen rising from the area following the intense bombardment, the sources added.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Army Radio confirmed that the Israeli Air Force is currently carrying out a series of raids on southern Lebanon.
