68 Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces across Gaza since Saturday morning

GAZA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – At least 68 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip between dawn on Saturday and midnight, as Israeli occupation forces continued their relentless bombardment, conducting large-scale demolitions in several neighborhoods, including al-Zaytoun and Sheikh Radwan in Gaza City.

Medical sources and eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that the latest Israeli airstrikes targeted residential apartments, civilian gatherings, and people waiting for humanitarian aid across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

At least nine Palestinians were killed, including five in Israeli air raids on Gaza City and four others who were waiting for aid in the Al-Sudaniya area, in the northern part of the enclave.

On Saturday evening, a medical source at the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes since early Saturday had risen to 59 martyrs.

Medical sources reported that 28 bodies were transferred to al-Shifa Medical Complex, two to the Sheikh Radwan clinic, six to al-Ahli Arab Hospital, nine to al-Awda Hospital, four to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, and 12 to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

In one of the latest massacres, four Palestinians were killed and others injured while waiting for aid in the al-Sudaniya area in northern Gaza. Their bodies were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex. Another four were killed when Israeli warplanes struck a café in the Al-Shati refugee camp, West of Gaza City, while one man was killed in an airstrike that hit an apartment in al-Tuffah neighborhood.

Earlier in the day, 12 Palestinians, including six children, were killed in two separate airstrikes targeting a tent shelter and a popular bakery west of Gaza City. Seven others were killed when Israeli forces bombed a residential building in al-Rimal neighborhood.

Israeli drones also dropped bombs on al-Sabra and al-Zaytoun neighborhoods, injuring several civilians. Two people were killed in Jabalia al-Nazla, northern Gaza, when Israeli fire hit civilians near Halima al-Saadia School, which shelters displaced families.

In al-Karama neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City, a woman and her child were killed when their home was struck by Israeli shelling, while another man was killed in an airstrike on an apartment in al-Shawwa and Husari Tower on al-Wahda Street. In al-Nassr neighborhood, an Israeli strike killed 12 people, including women and children, in an area overcrowded with displaced families.

Meantime, a woman was killed in an artillery strike in the al-Zarqa area of al-Tuffah neighborhood, while four more were killed in a strike on a gathering of people in al-Zaytoun neighborhood and another man in al-Sabra. A young girl was also killed in a drone attack that struck civilians outside a pharmacy on al-Yarmouk Street.

In central Gaza, one man was killed in a strike at the entrance of Deir al-Balah on Salah al-Din Street, while five others waiting for aid were killed at al-Shaheed Junction. Another was killed in a strike on al-Bureij refugee camp.

In southern Gaza, a woman was killed west of Khan Younis, and five others were killed by Israeli fire near aid distribution centers in Rafah and Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread demolitions in central and northern Khan Younis, as Israeli naval vessels shelled Gaza’s coastline.
