WORLD, Aug. 31 (YPA) -Dozens of Tunisian activists gathered on Saturday evening in front of the US Embassy in Tunis to protest the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and Yemen, particularly the recent airstrike in Sana’a that targeted senior Yemeni government officials.
The protest, organized by the Tunisian Network to Address Normalization, saw the participation of several activists raising slogans against US support for Israel and condemning the attacks on both Gaza and Yemen.
Activist Saeed Bouajila, a member of the network, told Anadolu Agency during the protest: “We are here today, as we regularly are, in front of the US Embassy to denounce America’s support for the genocide in Gaza.”
He added: But we also came to condemn the treacherous attack that targeted a government meeting in Sanaa — an attack that killed the Yemeni prime minister and several of his ministers. It was a cowardly act.”
Bouajila claimed that the Israeli occupation carried out the strike in response to Yemen’s recent operation targeting Tel Aviv, saying: “This attack was Israel’s attempt to take revenge for Yemen’s recent strike deep inside Tel Aviv.”
He also highlighted the ongoing resilience of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, stating: “The resistance remains steadfast, delivering powerful, strategic blows to the Zionist army entrenched in Zaytoun, southeast of Gaza City, operations that are reshaping the battlefield and disrupting the enemy’s failed offensive.”:
During the protest, demonstrators held signs condemning US support for “Israel” and chanted slogans denouncing Israeli attacks on Yemen.
