SANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – International media reports indicated that the British government has decided to ban the official Israeli delegation from participating in the Defense, Security, and Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition, which will be held in London this year, whereas this exhibition is considered one of the largest arms fairs in the world.
According to the American website “Politico” and Hebrew media sources, including the Hebrew website “Walla” and the newspaper “Maariv,” this decision targets the official pavilion of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, which has been a prominent participant in previous editions of the exhibition.
This ban comes amid growing criticism within Britain regarding the war on the Gaza Strip and the controversy surrounding arms sales to Israel.
Despite the ban on the government delegation, reports indicated that the decision will not include private Israeli arms companies, as they will be allowed to participate and display their products at the exhibition as usual.
