UAE factions kidnap head of Aad TV in Mukalla

HADRAMOUT, July 28 (YPA) – Armed elements in the Emirati factions kidnapped, on Monday, the editor-in-chief of the Aad TV website and channel, Abdul-Jabbar Omar Bajubair, who is loyal to the Hadramout Tribal Alliance, and took him to a prison in Mukalla.

A human rights source in Hadramout confirmed that elements loyal to the Emirati factions, the Hadrami Elite, kidnapped Bajubair at the Al-Adwas checkpoint on Abdullah Gharib Pass and took him to the Criminal Investigation Prison, without any charges.

The Journalists Syndicate considered Bajubair’s kidnapping a flagrant violation of all rights guaranteed to freedom of expression and the rights of journalists, and demanded his immediate release.
