Georges Abdallah arrives in Beirut after 41-year prison in France

BEIRUT, July 25 (YPA) – Lebanon’s activist Georges Abdallah arrived on Friday in Beirut, having secured his freedom from French prisons where he had been held for nearly 41 years for his struggle for Palestine.

He was received at Beirut Airport by a number of MPs and party figures, along with crowds of people celebrating his return to the homeland on the airport road.

According to Lebanese media sources, Abdallah’s convoy would make its way north from the airport road to his hometown of Al-Qoubaiyat.
