Hebrew media: 5 Israeli soldiers injured in battles of Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza

GAZA, July 17 (YPA) – Hebrew media announced that five Israeli soldiers were injured, two of them seriously, on Thursday morning in battles that took place in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Hebrew media quoted the occupation army as saying that two of the injured belong to the 202nd Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade and were seriously injured during clashes in the northern Gaza Strip.

Israeli media also quoted military sources as saying that a reserve soldier from the Yahalom unit was moderately injured after an unexploded ordnance exploded in the central Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli army website, the number of army deaths since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 893 soldiers, including 449 who fell during ground operations in Gaza, while the number of wounded reached 6,108.

The occupation army is accused of concealing the true number of its casualties, especially since it ignores numerous announcements by Palestinian factions of carrying out operations and ambushes against its personnel, which confirm that they result in deaths and injuries.
