GAZA, July 03 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the health system in the Gaza Strip is at risk of a complete shutdown without fuel, calling for its immediate entry into the Strip.
The organization said in a post on X on Wednesday evening that no fuel shipment has entered Gaza for more than 120 days.
It added: “This has paralyzed humanitarian operations, including support for the health care sector, pushing hospitals to the brink of collapse.”
The UN organization stressed that without fuel, the health system in Gaza is at risk of a “complete shutdown.”
It called for the immediate entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip.
Eighty people, including 15 starving people, were killed and dozens injured on Wednesday as a result of scattered Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, including shelling and gunfire.
These attacks coincide with the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the genocide perpetrated by Israel. The death toll from the Israeli occupation forces’ aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 57,012, with 134,592 injured, according to the latest statistics.
According to medical sources and eyewitnesses, the Israeli attacks targeted homes and those waiting for aid, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of residents in the northern, central, and southern Gaza Strip.
