Portuguese star Ronaldo gives Trump shirt bearing important message

SANAA, June 17 (YPA) – US President Trump received a surprise gift from Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo during the G7 summit in Canada.

The Republican president received a signed Portugal national team jersey from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Trump presented the gift to the cameras and revealed a special message written on the back: “To President Donald Trump. I pray for peace.”

The gift came amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran and the war in Gaza.

The summit, held in Kananaskis, Canada, included meetings with world leaders such as Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The G7 leaders discussed important issues, including Israel’s attacks on Iran and Tehran’s response.
