OCCUPIED QUDS, June 17 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation continued on Tuesday to impose a comprehensive closure on the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the fifth consecutive day, restricting entry to the Old Quds City to its residents only.
The Jerusalem (Quds) Governorate reported that sporadic attacks by the occupation forces resulted in the injury of four Jerusalemites with bullets in the areas of At-Tur, Bir Nabala, and Al-Ram, according to reports from the official Palestinian News Agency.
At the same time, the occupation allowed Zionist settlers to perform religious rituals near Al-Aqsa Mosque while intensifying daily raids on towns and suburbs of Jerusalem, supported by a heavy military presence at dozens of checkpoints, surrounding gates, and the Apartheid Wall.
Since last Friday, the occupation has prohibited worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards, including its covered and open prayer halls, as well as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, even for residents of the Old City. Furthermore, most shops, except those selling essential goods, have been closed, citing the continuation of the so-called “state of emergency.”
