WORLD, June 03 (YPA) -The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) has finally returned to Naval Station Norfolk Sunday, marking a long-awaited homecoming for the aircraft carrier and its crew after an extended overseas deployment, according the American “13News Now” Channel.
American media reported that the US aircraft carrier will undergo maintenance and repairs at the naval base.
The carrier’s return from the Red Sea for maintenance has raised many questions about what exactly happened to it during its recent engagement with Sanaa forces.
Sanaa forces had announced that they carried out several military operations against the USS Truman, thwarting multiple attacks on Yemen and causing the downing of three advanced F-18 fighter jets.
It is worth noting that the Truman had already entered emergency repairs back in February, after the US Navy claimed it had collided with a commercial vessel near the Suez Canal.
