Mahra sit-in committee accuses “Al-Alimi” of spreading chaos, tearing Yemen

MAHRA, June 02 (YPA) – Ali Mubarak Mahamed, spokesman for the sit-in committee against foreign occupation in Mahra province in eastern Yemen, confirmed that the return of Leadership Council President Rashad al-Alimi and the head of the Saudi-led coalition-affiliated government does not signal any improvement in citizens’ conditions or alleviation of their suffering.

Mahamed explained in a post on the X platform on Monday that the people are suffering from tragic conditions and stifling crises and that “Al-Alimi’s return does not represent hope or a real solution to the crisis.”

He also accused Al-Alimi of facilitating the formation of armed factions that transcend official frameworks, all of which are supported by the coalition countries.

Mahamed pointed out that these factions contribute to destabilizing security and stability by creating a state of systematic chaos, with the aim of extending control and plundering the country’s resources to serve external parties. He specifically spoke of the Saudi-backed “Dera Al-Watan forces in Mahra.

He concluded by affirming that the presence of the coalition countries in Yemen does not aim to restore the state, as claimed, but rather seeks to systematically and gradually divide the country.
