Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi: Palestinians’ suffering is unprecedented, Israeli escalation is met with more Yemeni response
SANAA, May 28 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi affirmed on Wednesday that the suffering of the Palestinian people has reached unprecedented levels, both in terms of the siege and severe starvation, and in terms of the extent of the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.
In a televised speech on Wednesday, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi said that the continued Israeli aggression is pushing Yemen to strengthen and expand its military operations and various activities in support of the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that “the more the enemy persists in its crimes, the greater and greater the responsibility on the Islamic nation.”
Sayyed Abdulmalik stressed that Yemen’s position on Palestine would not waver, saying, “We seek to make our position stronger and more steadfast alongside the Palestinian people in their unprecedented suffering.”
He added, “The Israeli enemy sought to isolate the Palestinian people without any reaction from any Muslim country, but the position of our people will remain present and effective, regardless of the extent and frequency of the aggression.”
Regarding the recent Zionist escalation in Yemen, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi pointed out that the Israeli attack on Sanaa International Airport comes within the context of what he described as “the systematic targeting of the Islamic nation and an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people for their support for the Palestinian cause.” He explained that the occupation is attempting to restore the deterrent power it lost after the failure of the American aggression.
Sayyed Abdulmalik also stated that one of the objectives of this attack may have been to obstruct the Hajj season by disrupting air transport operations. However, he emphasized that the enemy “will fail to achieve this goal,” noting that the ongoing restoration of Sanaa Airport would continue to ensure its continued operation and the fulfillment of citizens’ needs.
Concluding his speech, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi confirmed that “the aggression against our civilian facilities will not deter us from fulfilling our duty towards the dear Palestinian people,” indicating that the Yemeni position will remain steadfast in the nation’s battle against the Israeli occupation.
