Over 500 extremist settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

QUDS, May 26 (YPA) -A large number of extremist settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning, under the protection of occupation forces

Palestinian sources reported that over 500 settlers stormed the mosque’s courtyards in different groups under the protection of heavily armed occupation police guards.

They carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of Al Aqsa, while some raised the occupation flag during the incursion.

It is noted that the incursions by settlers and the harassment of worshippers have doubled in recent days, amid calls by extremist settler groups for more and larger-scale incursions today, Monday.

The provocative “Flag March” is scheduled to start from the Al-Buraq Square, passing through Damascus Gate and Al-Wad Street inside the Old City — areas densely populated by Palestinians.

Since Sunday, the occupation forces have set up iron barriers around Damascus Gate at the entrance to the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

It is also noted that the incursions by extremist settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem has significantly increased since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th.
