GAZA, May 25 (YPA) -Intense Israeli airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip continued early Sunday, as occupation forces escalated the demolition of buildings and civilian homes, particularly in Khan Younis and Rafah.
The attacks come amid a worsening humanitarian catastrophe, driven by severe fuel shortages and restricted aid access under a tightened Israeli blockade.
According to Palestinian sources, prominent preacher Hamada Al-Amoudi was killed in an Israeli airstrike on his home west of Khan Younis. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army blew up buildings in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis province.
Source added that five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a two-story residential home in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.
Two others were killed and several injured when Israeli warplanes struck the Al-Amoudi family home west of Khan Younis, in the south.
Another person was killed and others wounded in a strike that hit a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, also west of Khan Younis.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation army —with full US support—has carried out a genocidal campaign in Gaza, killing or injuring over 175,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. More than 11,000 are still missing, and hundreds of thousands remain displaced with no food, clean water, or medical care.
