Released Palestinian prisoner assassinated in Gaza

GAZA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – A released Palestinian prisoner from Silwad, east of Ramallah, who was relocated to Gaza under the 2011 Wafa Al-Ahrar prisoner exchange deal, was assassinated by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza City on Wednesday.

The Sanad News Agency, citing the Palestinian Prisoners Media Center, reported that 43-year-old Farah Ahmed Hamed, also known as Al-Natour, died of wounds sustained after being targeted on Al-Rashid Street in the Sheikh Ajleen area, southwest of Gaza City.

Hamed had spent nearly eight years in Israeli prisons after being arrested in 2003 before his release and relocation to Gaza under the prisoner exchange deal.
