Demonstrations in Mauritania denouncing the Israeli genocide in Gaza

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – Hundreds of Mauritanians demonstrated in the capital, Nouakchott, in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and in rejection of the genocide committed by Tel Aviv with American support in the Strip.

The demonstrations began after Friday prayers, in front of the Grand Mosque in Nouakchott, where participants raised the flags of Mauritania and Palestine, and chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian factions and denouncing the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

In his speech to the participants, Mauritanian Parliament member Saddaf Ould Ad said, “The confusion occurring in the leadership of the Israeli occupation, and the internal division, are the fruits of the Al-Aqsa flood battle, and a sign of approaching victory,” as he put it.

Ould Ad called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to “continue demonstrating and putting pressure on governments to support the Palestinians and contributing to stop the aggression.”
