IRAN, April 27 (YPA) – The death toll from the explosion at the Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas has risen to 28, with approximately 1,139 injured, Iranian media reported on Sunday.
On Saturday, a massive explosion occurred at the Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern Iranian coastal city of Bandar Abbas, and residents in the surrounding area felt an earthquake.
It is worth noting that the Iranian Crisis Management Organization blamed the incident on “unsafe storage of chemicals in containers at the Shahid Rajaee Port,” according to the organization’s spokesman, Hossein Zafri, who told the Iranian ILNA news agency, “The cause of the explosion was the chemicals inside the containers.”
