At least 52,243 people killed in Gaza amid relentless Israeli attacks

GAZA, April 27 (YPA) – At least 52,243 people have been martyred and 117,639 wounded as a result of the genocidal war that the Israeli occupation waged against Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical statement, the Gaza-based ministry health reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip had received 51 martyrs over the past 24 hours, including 11 who were pulled from the rubble of destroyed homes, in addition to 115 injuries of varying severity, as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombardment on the Strip.

The statement noted that ambulance and civil defense crews were facing significant difficulties in reaching many victims trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings or in the streets due to the ongoing shelling and the occupation’s deliberate targeting of rescue crews.

The Ministry’s statement added that the increasing number of martyrs and wounded reflects the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe facing Gaza’s residents amid the ongoing war and worsening living and medical conditions.
