ADEN, April 22 (YPA) – Power outages in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, have exceeded eight consecutive hours, compared to two hours of operation, amid a shortage of fuel for power plants.
The state of discontent rose among citizens due to the continuous power outages, with the pro-coalition government failing to improve the service and continuing to make false promises each year.
The government, which activists called the “government of darkness,” was unable to import a shipment of fuel for the power stations in Aden and the rest of the southern and eastern provinces, including Shabwa oil, in addition to its inability to provide 4 tankers of crude oil from the Safer facility in Marib to the PetroMasila station in Aden.
The suffering of citizens in Aden has worsened with the rise in temperatures since the beginning of the summer, amid local demands to organize popular demonstrations against the government and the coalition, denouncing the economic collapse that Aden has reached, which has affected all services.
