SANAA, April 22 (YPA) – A number of UAE military flights arrived at Mocha Airport and Mayon Island, located in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, west of Taiz province, during the past few days in suspicious hostile movements against Sanaa forces.
During the past few days, the FlyRadar 24 website, which specializes in tracking air traffic around the world, monitored the arrival of the Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft, registered in Gambia, C5-SKY, last Thursday to Mocha Airport, coming from Sharjah in the UAE, coinciding with almost daily military flights to Bosaso, Somalia, overlooking the Gulf of Aden.
The website indicated that the plane returned to Oakland Airport in California via Riyadh Airport in the Saudi capital, without knowing the reasons.
Since early April, the website has monitored repeated flights by the UAE Air Force, including a Lockheed C-130H aircraft registered as 1211, to Mayon Island in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and Mocha Airport.
The website also spotted a UAE Air Force Airbus C-295W with registration number 822 in the past few days in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, near Mocha Airport, and a new airstrip, likely near the coastal area of Kahbub.
