SANAA, April 12 (YPA) – The Jordanian authorities prevented a popular sit-in in the Unknown Soldier area in the Jordan Valley yesterday, near the border with occupied Palestine, in rejection of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.
After Friday prayers, the security services rushed to forcibly disperse the popular sit-in in front of the Abu Aisha Mosque and arrested a number of those present, including Ahmed Barakat, a member of the Executive Office of the Islamic Action Front (a Jordanian political party), Mustafa Al-Saqr, a member of the Executive Office of the Islamic Movement (the Muslim Brotherhood), and youth activists Osama Al-Hardan, Issa Al-Jitawi, and others.
