Islamic Jihad mourns death of Hamas spokesman in Israeli raid

GAZA, March 27 (YPA) – Palestine’s Islamic Jihad movement mourned on Thursday the death of Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanou following a bombing that targeted his tent in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.

“The enemy’s deliberate targeting of the political and media cadres of the resistance movements reflects the enemy’s failure to achieve any military gains on the ground, which has led it to commit massacres against civilians, including the targeting of children and women,” Jihad movement said in a statement.

The statement continued, “The martyrdom of our leaders and mujahideen in the ranks of the resistance among their own people is a source of pride for our Palestinian people and reflects the most magnificent epics of steadfastness and perseverance in the face of the occupation.

At midnight on Thursday, Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanou was martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his tent in the northern Strip.

Earlier in the day, the Hamas Movement mourned its spokesman, Abdul Latif al-Qanou, who was assassinated in a Zionist airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip, stressing that targeting the movement’s leaders will only strengthen its resolve to continue on the path of resistance.
