9 people killed, injured due to armed clashes in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, March 24 (YPA) – At least nine people were killed and injured, on Sunday, in armed clashes in the Al-Khasha’a area of ​​Hadramout governorate, which is under coalition control in eastern Yemen.

Local sources reported that clashes broke out between tribal gunmen and the guards of the Director of Security of Hadramout Valley, affiliated with the coalition, Abdullah bin Habish Al-Saya’ri, leaving six tribesmen and 3 of Al-Saya’ri’s guards dead and wounded.

The sources confirmed that the clashes took place in Khashm al-Ain, in the Khasha’a area on the Al-Abr road, without providing further details about the causes of the clashes.

This came after armed clashes that erupted in recent days between Dahm tribe militants and coalition factions over a dispute over farm ownership, leaving 18 dead and wounded, most of them from the factions.
